Sit-in of Haq Do Tehreek continues in Kech

TURBAT: A sit-in of Haq Do Tehreek led by Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch is going on in front of the main gate of the office of Kech’s Deputy Commissioner.

On the third day of the sit-in on Sunday, another round of talks with Deputy Commissioner Kech failed. Deputy Commissioner Hussain Jan along with Assistant Commissioner Turbat Aqeel Karim and ADC Tabish came to the sit-in after Zuhr prayers and held talks.

However, the participants raised different points and they could not agree on their own demands.

The commissioner, after consulting Commissioner Makran, offered to hold talks with him again. At the request of the sit-in participants, the deputy commissioner agreed to open the Dashtak border to the general public on a trial basis and to bring food items with them. Approved, however, participants demanded that the listing system be completely abolished and that all crossing points be opened to the public.

Deputy Commissioner assured the participants that levies have been sent to Kapakpar Point but no positive progress has been made by Iran.

District administration has no objection to Dashtak Zamran Point. While, another Point will also be opened. However, your issue is pending.

The people of Mand objected to this, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Levies Force has been sent to the Bard, Iran is a separate state and not our subordinate. Official correspondence with the Iranian authorities is ongoing.

After which the Deputy Commissioner and his team withdrew for consultation with Commissioner Makran.
