The European Union and China agreed that the conflict in Ukraine was endangering global security, according to the chairman of the European Council on Friday, while warning China against assisting Russia’s war effort.
“The EU and China agreed that this conflict is jeopardising global security and the global economy,” Charles Michel said during a news conference.
“Any attempt to bypass sanctions or send help to Russia would only serve to prolong the war.” “This would result in more deaths and a higher economic burden,” he added.
“We will also be cautious on any attempts to help Russia financially or militarily,” he warned. Positive moves by China to assist end the war, on the other hand, would be welcomed by all Europeans and the world community.”
