Hannah Cornelius was abducted, gang-raped, stabbed, and crushed with a 2ft rock by a “pack of wolves” murderer

Hannah Cornelius

WHEN Hannah Cornelius was kidnapped at knifepoint by a wicked gang, she had no clue she was about to meet her killers, who would subject her to an 11-hour torture.

The 21-year-old was with her companion Cheslin Marsh, 22, in an isolated area of Stellenbosch, South Africa, when they were kidnapped by a group that ringed her car like a “pack of wolves.”

The bandits drove the pals around for hours before beating Cheslin close to death and abandoning him.

Hannah was then gang-raped many times and fatally stabbed in the neck before a boulder was placed on her head on May 27, 2017.

The grinning killers Nashville Julius, 29, Geraldo Parsons, 27, Eben Van Niekerk, 28, and Vernon Witbooi appeared in court, shocking the globe.

In court, the guys smirked, one stuck out his tongue, and they mocked their conviction by giving the judge a thumbs up as they were led away to prison.

Five years later, a new documentary titled Last Blue Ride on Showmax sheds light on the circumstances leading up to Hannah’s untimely death and how her family tried to come to grips with losing their much-loved daughter.

Hannah’s mother, Anna, drowned exactly a year after the student’s murder while going for her daily swim, her beaten corpse discovered in shallow Cape Town waters.

Hannah’s father, Willem, described the family’s reaction to his daughter’s death as “beyond sad,” adding that his wife “walked into the water and didn’t return.”

“I feel our family perished with Hannah,” he continued.

The drowning was considered a tragic accident, although Willem stated that he did not believe his wife planned to kill herself but just had the physical and emotional fortitude to deal with her daughter’s horrible killing.

NIGHT OF TERROR

Student Hannah and her friend Cheslin Marsh’s terrifying ordeal began when they were carjacked after a night out in May 2017.

She’d volunteered to drop Cheslin off at home, and as the two were parked, a gang of four males approached the car – the terrifying moment was captured on CCTV.

They assaulted Hannah and Cheslin in their car, armed with a screwdriver and a flick knife.

Cheslin was thrown into the back seat and then into the trunk as the car drove away, while Hannah was squeezed between the two front seats.

“I kept urging her, basically, to keep calm the whole time…everything is going to be good,” Cheslin stated during the new documentary.

Later, CCTV evidence showed Hannah in the car as the group stopped at a gas station to withdraw money from Cheslin’s bank account – but the attacker, Witbooi, was nowhere to be seen.
