Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced former Pakistani star Umar Gul’s appointment as bowling coach. Umar Gul has initially signed a short term deal, however, it can extended further considering his performance. He will join Afghanistan cricket camp in Dubai on April 4^th. He will assist recently appointed head coach, former English batsman, Graham Thorpe.

Umar Gul has also worked with Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL), and Galle Gladiators in Lanka Premier League (LPL) as a bowling coach.

Umar Gul expressed his views on Twitter about his appointment with a Tweet saying, “Honoured to be taking up this role with the @ACBofficials. Looking forward to imparting the best of the knowledge that i have and making it worth it for the boys.”
