UConn Huskies won 63-58 on Friday night by beating opposite champions Stanford Cardinal, ending that team’s 24 games winning streak.

After two wild games, final teams participating for 222 NCCA Women’s Basketball Tournament title have been set.

The South Carolina was vanquishing over Louisville on Friday night, in game that ended 72-59. In an incensed and dramatic end, Connecticut received their final spot shortly after at Target center, winning 63-58 against Stanford.

Whereas Huskies was led by Paige Bueckers, team was against Stanford with 14 points, 5 assists and 4 re-bounds.

The strongest of the five starts with 23 points on 8 of 12 shooting, along with 18 re-bounds and assists was Aliyah Boston.

In the Final Four teams, UConn is most strong, by taking the championship title 11th times since the women’s tournament started in 1982. The fact is Huskies set record of winning four times in a row between 2013 and 2016.

It is first time NCAA has broken their tradition and allowed to use “March Madness” for women’s basketball team.

According to team the change would take effect in September 2022 and said “comprehensive external review of gender equity issues in connection with NCAA championships.” Thy also said “Women’s basketball has grown tremendously over the past several years, and we remain focused on our priority of enhancing and growing the game,” Lynn Holzman, vice president of women’s basketball, said in a statement at the time. “The brand recognition that March Madness carries will broaden marketing opportunities as we continue that work to elevate the women’s basketball championship.”
