US’s former women soccer goalkeeper ‘Hope Solo’ arrested on DWI on child abuse charges

United States former goalkeeper Hope Solo took the ball during soccer game against New Zealand at Rio Olympics in 2016 August.

According to police Hope got arrested in North Carolina on child abuse charges, resisting arrest and impaired driving.

Winston-Salem Department told in their statement that police arrested Hope Amelia Steven on Thursday in parking area of business in the city while she was inside the vehicle with her two children and computing her arrest, Hope was processed then subsequently released from the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center.

Further police report says, Due to the impending prosecution, no other information regarding the arrest will be released at this time.

Solo’s attorney Rich Nichols in his statement emailed to American Channel: “On the advice of counsel, Hope can’t speak about this situation, but she wants everyone to know that her kids are her life, that she was released immediately and is now at home with her family, that the story is more sympathetic that the initial charges suggest, and that she looks forward to her opportunity to defend these charges.”

It’s not first time Solo facing trouble with law, she was arrested in 2014 on charges of domestic assault after she assaulted her two relatives at her home near Seattle. The charges against Solo, entered not-guilty plea, were dropped officially in 2018.
