ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Asad Umar snubbed PML-N President and PDM nominee for the seat of premiership Shahbaz Sharif for his beggars can’t be choosers statement.
Asad took to Twitter and told Sharif that this nation is not a beggar adding that a large part of his elite is definitely unscrupulous and does not shy away from begging for his personal interest.
“This nation is honourable and dignified,” he remarked, adding, “And that’s why, at this important juncture, they stand by a man of character and principles (Prime Minister Imran Khan),” the minister concluded his Tweet.
میاں صاحب یہ قوم بھکاری نہیں ہے. اس کی اشرافیہ کا ایک بڑا حصہ ضرور بے ضمیر ہے اور اپنے زاتی مفاد کے لئے بھیک مانگنے سے بھی گریز نہیں کرتے. یہ قوم ایک غیرت مند قوم ہے اسی لئے آج کے اس تاریخی لمحہ میں ایک غیرت مند لیڈر کے ساتھ کھڑی ہے

Earlier on Friday, during an appearance on the private news channel Program, Shehbaz Sharif said in his remarks that “beggars can’t be choosers.”
In reply to one of the questions, Shehbaz said“Beggars can’t be choosers. We can’t fight wars. We have to feed our people.”
