On March 25, an unidentified judoka was seen restraining a prospective robber on the ground in the Brazilian state of Amazonas.

According to accounts, the guy took the woman’s phone as she was waiting for a rideshare cab.

The suspect then fled down the street, clutching her phone.

After he may have thought he was getting away with it, the woman managed to catch up with him and pin him down on the floor.

According to local media, the judo expert was subsequently able to restrain the guy on the ground with a rear naked choke.

The woman detained the offender until officers arrived to transport him to the police station.

The youthful have-a-go hero is shown in the footage sitting peacefully on the ground while holding the topless suspect in a neck lock.

The suspect is subsequently arrested, and the woman, disgusted, shoves him away from her and rises to her feet as bystanders applaud and celebrate.

An eyewitness is said to have kicked the suspect, who is lying on his front on the tarmac.

There have been no new developments in the probe.
