Trump’s divisive daughter and former White House senior adviser has personally donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase approximately 158,000 pounds of food to be shipped to Europe. Ivanka Trump returned to social media on Friday after a two-month hiatus to thank everyone involved in the meal-delivery effort.
“The Ukrainian people have shown inspiring courage and resilience during Russia’s invasion of their country,” she added to Fox News.
“I hope that by distributing this food, I can provide some solace and nourishment to the Ukrainians who are suffering so greatly.”
“Over the last few days, we have delivered 1 million meals to Ukrainians in Kyiv, Lviv, and Sumy,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Thank you to the pastors, rabbis, and truck drivers who put their lives on the line to bring this food to those in need.”
“We hope that by distributing these meals, we can provide a small source of comfort and nourishment to Ukrainians who are suffering unjustly as a result of Russia’s invasion of their country.”
“To the people of Ukraine: you are in our thoughts and prayers, and your bravery in the face of violence and adversity is an inspiration.”
“May God bless you in your valiant fight to protect your country and your freedom.”
Her most recent performance, however, elicited a mixed reaction on social media. While some praised Ms Trump for assisting Ukrainians, others chastised her for her past actions.
Thank you to the Pastors, Rabbis, truck drivers & volunteers who are risking their lives to deliver 1M meals.
Grateful for all they’re doing as we provide a small source of comfort & nourishment to Ukrainians who are suffering so unjustly from Russia's invasion of their country. pic.twitter.com/PKR30WAIfH

“God bless you and our President Trump!” tweeted Twitter user Isaac Nieves. I will continue to pray for you and your family. Let us restore America’s greatness before we lose it.”
Another user, Nicko Jones, praised her: “Thank you Ivanka, you are always putting others first!”
“More of you are needed in this country!” “God bless you.”
Other social media users, however, were not so kind, with one Twitter user, DemPisces, tweeting: “Supposedly Ivanka is trying to atone for her sins.”
“I mean, 1 million meals aren’t going to fix that.” Her father is the reason Ukraine is a war zone…. But, at the very least, she’s attempting to recoup some of the blood money, right?”
“I wonder if this war would even be going on if Trump hadn’t tried to extort money from Ukraine and hand it over to Russia,” another user, CocoBonita, said.
Donald Trump controversially expressed admiration for Putin’s justification for invading Ukraine the day before Russian missiles began bombing cities.
According to Politico, Trump stated in the interview, “I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.'” Putin declares a large portion of Ukraine — of Ukraine — to be independent. Oh, that’s fantastic.
