The victim claimed she was pepper-sprayed, kicked, punched, and even smashed with a half-gallon bottle of milk, and that one of the attackers held a taser close to her face — one man can be seen running down the block just to hit the girl while she was on the ground.

An attack on a 13-year-old girl in the Bronx was captured on surveillance video, with a group of people brutally beating the girl while stealing her shoes and cellphone.

The video, which NBC New York obtained exclusively, shows a group of people attacking the girl, leaving her battered, bruised, and traumatised. Witnesses can be seen standing around and recording the attack with their smartphones, with one even applauding.

The victim claimed she was pepper sprayed, kicked in the stomach, punched in the head, and even smashed with a half gallon bottle of milk, and that one of the attackers pointed a taser at her face. One man can be seen running down the street just to hit the girl while she is unconscious.

The attack occurred on Valentine Avenue in Fordham Heights shortly before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Three unidentified individuals approached the girl from behind, according to police.

“It just didn’t feel right. Nobody came to her aid. She received no assistance from adults. They were all holding their cellphones “The mother of the girl stated. “I really wish that people would have it in their hearts to help someone in need if they see them… Why is it so difficult to assist someone in need?”

The video of the violent attack is disturbing to watch, but the mother wants everyone to see what happened to her daughter.

“I had a bruise on my face here, something on my arm, and bruises on my leg right here,” the girl said through tears with her mother by her side. “My head was hurting because she was trying to hit me on the head with the concrete. I was attempting to keep her from hitting my head on the floor.”

The victim stated that she went to the grocery store near East 194th Street and Valentine Avenue and has no idea why the group attacked her, whether it was a robbery or mistaken identity. They stole her $300 Nike sneakers, which were a Christmas present, and hung them from a light pole near the attack.

“It’s boring being in the house, but I have to stay in the house for my safety because you never know,” she explained. “If I go outside, I have to look behind my back because you never know what might happen. That is why I have not attended school.”

Despite how bad the video appears, the victim stated that she considers herself fortunate to be alive.

“It was terrible because it could have been much worse. I could have been stabbed or even killed. It could have been a lot worse “She stated.

The girl’s mother told NBC New York that the family is considering leaving the city as a result of the attack.

The NYPD is looking for three people, a female and two males, who are suspected of being involved in the attack. The female in the group allegedly began kicking and punching the teen in the face, while the two males kicked her in the stomach before stealing her sneakers and cellphone, according to the NYPD.

The trio, described as being between the ages of 16 and 18, fled on foot.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-PISTA (888-57-PISTA in Spanish) (74782).
