On the second day of the ongoing 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad, the participants will continue to deliberate upon the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah and the way forward to promote unity as well as economic and trade relations.
A ministerial brainstorming session will discuss the role of the Muslim World in fostering peace, justice and harmony.
Later, after the closing session, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha will address a joint press conference.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had emphatically stated that the strong voice of the OIC as the representative body of 1.5 billion population was crucial to address lingering issues of Kashmir and Palestine.
In his keynote address at the 48th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad, he had said the Muslim countries should not drag themselves into bloc politics and rather show their power for bringing peace in the world.
PM had also regretted that the Muslim Ummah has failed to make any impact for the resolution of Kashmir and Palestine disputes.
He had said the international community promised the Kashmiris to decide their future, regretting that the special status was also taken away illegally by India on August 5, 2019.
