ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to travel to Malaysia in the beginning of February as part of the government’s damage control efforts after Pakistan pulled out of the Kuala Lumpur summit in December, 2019.
Official sources confirmed that the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Kuala Lumpur on an official visit in the start of February.
Be clear that Pakistan pulled out of the Kuala Lumpur summit at the last moment which was the gathering of leaders from host Malaysia, Turkey, Iran and Qatar.

Earlier on January 19, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said that his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohamad faces the same problems as his government.
PM Imran Khan said that Mahathir confronted with an entrenched pol mafia.
The premiere billed Mahathir as the most experienced and accomplished statesman of the Muslim world.
He shared a report listing “startling similarities” between Pakistan’s situation and that of Malaysia.
PM Imran wrote, “The most experienced and accomplished statesman of the Muslim world faces exactly the same problems as my govt.”
“He is confronted with an entrenched pol mafia that has bankrupted and indebted Malaysia, leaving state institutions devastated.”
