Russia’s soldiers, led by VLADIMIR Putin, have launched yet another lethal hypersonic missile towards Ukraine, raising concerns of a third World War.
NATO has given the Kalibr weapon the nickname “The Sizzler” since it can travel at up to five times the speed of sound.
It comes just one day after Russia launched a ‘Kinzhal’ (Dagger) hypersonic missile, the first time such a weapon has been utilized since the Ukraine conflict began.
Meanwhile, the Mariupol city council claims that on Saturday, Russian military destroyed a school where 400 people were taking refuge.
According to a Telegram update, the building has been destroyed and individuals are trapped beneath the rubble. The school had women, children, and the elderly, according to the officials.
There is currently no information on casualties.
Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, said Russia’s ‘horror’ in Mariupol would be remembered for decades.
“What the occupiers did to a quiet city is a terror that will be remembered for generations to come,” Mr Zelensky added.
