LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the squads for the ODI and T20I series against Australia, which will be contested in Lahore. There are some new names on the roster, but several players have been dropped, such as Sarfaraz Ahmed and Imad Wasim.
The PCB has decided not to provide explanations to players who were not selected for the national team.
According to sources, Imad Wasim is dissatisfied with the lack of contact from chief selector Mohammad Wasim and captain Babar Azam.
Despite good performances in the World Cup, Imad Wasim was rested for the series against the West Indies.
Other changes include Muhammad Haris taking over as the backup wicketkeeper from Sarfaraz Ahmed.
When other cricket boards across the world explain every inclusion and exclusion, the PCB’s method generates a lot of questions.
In addition, veteran Shoaib Malik’s name is absent from the squad roster. The all-rounder stated that he has discussed the situation with captain Babar Azam in great detail.
