Pakistani Hindu community celebrating colourful festival of Holi today

KARACHI: People from the Pakistani Hindu community, like elsewhere in the world, smear colour on each other’s faces in Pakistan on Friday, March 18, 2022, to celebrate Holi, the festival of colours.

Prime Minister Imran Khan greeted the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi.

The premier in a Tweet wished the Hindu community a very happy Holi.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar also congratulated the Hindu community on the occasion, saying that the festival fosters brotherhood in society.

The Chief Minister stated in his message that joint celebrations of various festivals promote love and unity.

He stated that people of various faiths are equal citizens and that the Hindu community has played an important role in national development.

He added that all religious minorities have received full protection and religious freedom and that they have been integrated into the national mainstream by providing equal opportunities for advancement.

“Happy Holi to all my Hindu Pakistani brothers, sisters & everyone celebrating,” Tweeted Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the occasion.

On the other hand, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab shared photos where he was seen celebrating Holi with the Hindu Community and employees of KMC.
