Here is why Meghan Markle wore a vibrant green dress for final royal outing

According to reports, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s wife, conveyed a subtle but strong statement with her brilliant green outfit for the royal couple’s final outing.

For the Commonwealth Day Service in 2020, the Duchess of Sussex wore a brilliant green Emilia Wickstead cape dress.

In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the Commonwealth Day Service with the rest of the Royal Family, which was their final engagement together as royals.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the shocking revelation a few weeks before the ceremony that they would be stepping down as senior royals and leaving the UK.

The Duchess wore a brilliant green Emilia Wickstead cape dress for the service, which began to blow in the wind as she exited the Abbey.

Meghan used the outfit to deliver a covert but significant message, according to Christine Ross, the editor of the site Meghan’s Mirror.

It was a clear indication to the designer and those who thought the two ladies had a “complex” relationship, she believes.

Speaking previously on the Mirror’s royal podcast Pod Save the Queen, she said: “That cape blowing in the wind as she walked into the church and then walked out of the church, which was such an emotional moment for so many people as it was their last formal engagement as royals. That green dress will stand out in history books I think.”

However, Meghan isn’t the only fan of Emilia Wickstead’s designs – her sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge has worn her pieces multiple times.
