ISLAMABAD: Minister for Communication and Postal Services Murad Saeed on Thursday said the opposition parties were deliberately sabotaging the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ Conference in Islamabad for their vested interests.

He said the opposition was a group of corrupt people who only wanted the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), but would not succeed.

On March 15, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain had said the real agenda of Pakistan Democratic Movement Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman was to sabotage the OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting scheduled to be held in Islamabad on the same day.
In a tweet, he had deplored the Fazl-ur-Rehman’ announcement of holding a long march towards Islamabad on March 23.
The information minister had said it was hard for the opposition to digest the conference of OIC Foreign Ministers in Islamabad after a hiatus of 15 years.
He had said the opposition wanted to block Islamabad on March 23 when the whole country would be celebrating the Pakistan Day. However, he had said, the government knew how to deal with the rioters.
On March 2, Fazl had claimed that the no-confidence motion against the government would be brought in the next 48 hours.
