Ukrainian army now has access to UK military medical facilities

According to the government, UK military medical facilities have been made available to assist injured Ukrainian soldiers.

As part of his list of assistance for Ukraine, Foreign Office minister James Cleverly told the Commons: “We’ve made the offer that the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine and other UK military medical facilities will be made available to injured Ukrainian service members.”

“Would he consider, and I appreciate there might be difficulties with this, but actually our offer should be open to injured Russian military personnel as well – if they are captured on the battlefield and they’re injured, we should show them the same humanity that we’re obliged to under the Geneva Conventions,” said Conservative MP Sir Bernard Jenkin (Harwich and North Essex).

Mr Cleverly stated that he would consider the proposal.
