Iron and steel, fertilisers, wood, tyres, cement, tyres, cereals, antiques, and fur skins are also affected.
“Our new tariffs will further isolate the Russian economy from global trade, ensuring it does not benefit from the rules-based international system it does not respect,” said Chancellor Rishi Sunak.
“These tariffs build on the UK’s previous efforts to deny Russia access to international finance, sanction Putin’s cronies, and apply maximum economic pressure on his regime.”
