The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJ&K) has issued a circular banning the use of lipstick for female students.
However, the document dated the 21st of January, 2020 to ban lipstick on female students.
Earlier, in November 2019, the university had asked female students to wear the Abaya.
Social media users had condemned the move.
Furthermore, they consider this move as infringing upon the rights of students.
Students have been banned to wear lipstick in AJK university’s Institute of Education.
Now what!! 🤦🏻♀️ Is this stupidity or extremism? pic.twitter.com/9jwFxYy9cw— Aay Eye (@Aakefah) January 26, 2020

‘Institute of Education’, University of AJK bans lipstick for female students. In Nov the university had notified all female students to wear abayas. Such regressive actions by institutions that should be bastions of freedom is alarming and violate fundamental rights of students! pic.twitter.com/ycUwmYWXlx
