The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa extended winter vacation of educational institutions till January 7 due to chilly weather in the province.

The government took the decision on the demands of the parents, a senior official of the education department said. The winter vacation in the educational institutions had started on Dec 22 and was to end on January 1.

However, the government decided to extend the vacation amid extreme cold and fog.

The winter vacations extended due to the lingering impact of winter persisting across the province.

Meanwhile, all the educational institutes in Sindh will reopen on January 1, 2020 (Wednesday). The schools across Punjab will reopen on Monday 6th January 2020.
