Pakistan Navy Air Defence Units, on Wednesday, conducted a successful test launch of surface-to-air missiles, confirmed a spokesperson.

According to a spokesperson for Pakistan Navy, all missiles successfully hit their targets.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi also witnessed the test-firing of the missiles and expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Navy.
The naval chief said that Pakistan Navy was fully capable of befittingly responding to any aggression.
The successful test of the missiles demonstrates operational capabilities and war preparedness of the Pakistan Navy, said the spokesperson.
Earlier in November, Pakistan had conducted a flight test of Shaheen-1A surface-to-surface ballistic missile.
“Pakistan today conducted a successful flight test of Shaheen-1A surface-to-surface ballistic missile. The test flight was aimed at re-validating certain design and technical parameters of the weapon system,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had said in its statement.

Director General Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, Chairman NESCOM Dr Raza Samar, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali, scientists and engineers of strategic organisations also witnessed the flight test, the ISPR had added.
