No injustice against any Balochistan district under my watch: CM Bizenjo

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo on Sunday said that no injustice will be done to any district of Balochistan under his government’s watch.

In a meeting with provincial lawmakers, the chief minister said that his government will ensure that the developmental works are commenced in a right direction and no district face any disparity.

Bizenjo said his government will ensure that the available resources are put into use in the interest of the people of province. He said that after closing down over 70 percent of the checkpost, the Balochistan government is opening up border trade.

Earlier, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo took oath as the 18th Chief Minister of the province. The CM was elected unopposed after Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) parliamentary leader Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind pulled out of the race.

Who is Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo?

Bizenjo was born on January 1, 1974, in the Awaran district of Balochistan. He received his early education in Jao area of Awaran and obtained his MA in English from the University of Balochistan in 2000.

Bizenjo started politics in 2002 from the platform of Pakistan Muslim League-Q. From 2002 to 2007, he was a part of the cabinet of Jam Kamal’s father, Jam Muhammad Yusuf. After winning the 2013 elections, he was elected as the deputy speaker of Balochistan.

He became the speaker of the Balochistan Assembly in 2015 after the resignation of Jan Jamali. After the resignation of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri in January 2018, he became the Chief Minister of Balochistan. He served as CM from January 13, 2018, to June 7, 2018.

After winning the 2018 elections, he was elected as the speaker of the Balochistan Assembly on August 16, 2018. Bizenjo will now serve as the 18th chief minister of Balochistan.
