PU demand police action against IJT activists

LAHORE: A Punjab University spokesman has said that a complaint has been filed with the police to take legal action while the administration will expel all those students involved in the incident of vandalism on Friday according to law.

In a press statement, the spokesman said that the activists of Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) have ransacked the office of the Registrar and other allied offices after a fight which erupted among some students and some outsiders near the main cafeteria.

The spokesman further said the university had taken measures to establish peace on campus and only a few dozen students on all sides are trying to disturb the peaceful environment of the university. He said that the administration was identifying these students with the help of CCTV footage and strict actions will be taken against them under the law.
