ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Central Information Secretary and the member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri blamed Prime Minister Imran Khan for being responsible for irregularities amounting to Rs40 billion in the coronavirus relief package.

In a statement issued on Monday, she said that it was a ‘highly condemnable act’ of the government to gulp coronavirus funds.

Marri alleged that Imran Khan is known as “Corruption Khan” for misusing funds of Benazir Income Support Program mandated for poor widows. She added that poor widows will not allow the government to misuse the money.

She said that PM Imran Khan’s statement against corruption is crocodile tears, adding that PM Imran Khan is also involved in the corruption of Rs25 billion in Benazir Employees Stock. The PPP leader said that if a thief becomes a watchman then robberies will definitely occur at home.
