Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the Sohni Dharti Remittance programme today in Islamabad, announced his office on Thursday.
The PMO said that the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has developed the programme as per PM Imran Khan’s vision of facilitating overseas Pakistanis.

Under the programme, overseas Pakistanis will receive reward points for remittances sent through SBP-assigned sources. If they use the programme they will be able to avail of government services free of cost.

The programme will also have a mobile app and the users will also have the authority to transfer the reward points to another beneficiary.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has launched a number of initiatives to facilitate overseas Pakistani such as the Roshan Digital Accounts.
Last week, the PM also inaugurated a digital portal for verification of power of attorney. The project was inaugurated the same week when Parliament granted voting rights to the Pakistani citizens living abroad.
