Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that Pakistan offers a huge potential for e-commerce that would generate employment opportunities for the youth.
Speaking to the Group CEO of Daraz Bjarke Mikelsen in Islamabad, the premier termed e-commerce vital for economic growth, said Radio Pakistan.

The prime minister said the government was providing full support to foreign investors under the Ease-of-doing-Business policy.

The CEO Daraz also expressed interest in further investment and expansion of e-commerce in Pakistan.
PM welcomes foreign IT companies in Pakistan
Terming the talent of Pakistani youth “un-paralleled,” PM Imran said that the international companies were welcome to establish their ventures in Pakistan.
The prime minister expressed these views while meeting with the Group CEO of Veon (Multinational Telecommunication Services Company) Kaan Terzioğlu, said the PM Office.

Adviser on Finance Shaukat Tarin, Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Major General (retd) Amir Azeem Bajwa, and CEO Jazz Aamir Ibrahim also attended the meeting.

The youth of Pakistan could benefit from leading global information technology (IT) and telecom companies, said the premier. He also emphasized technology transfer and the training of youth.
CEO VEON Terzioğlu also expressed interest in providing big data solutions in Pakistan.
