Veteran Peter O’Mahony has been called into the Ireland starting XV in place of the injured Jack Conan for their final November Test against Argentina at Lansdowne Road on Sunday.
The 32-year-old O’Mahony will win his 79th cap as he slots in at flanker with Caelan Doris — man of the match in last weekend’s 29-20 win over New Zealand — moving to Conan’s position of No8.
“Jack Conan has been ruled out of today’s game through injury, with Peter O’Mahony coming into the starting XV at blindside flanker,” the Irish Rugby Football Union tweeted.
“Caelan Doris shifts to number eight and Ryan Baird has been called up to the bench.”
Ireland — who will be captained by James Ryan in the absence of the injured Johnny Sexton — are bidding for an eighth successive Test victory against a Pumas side who have yet to beat the hosts in Dublin.
