YANGON: The number of COVID-19 infections rose to 514,716 with 18,963 total deaths in Myanmar on Tuesday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health.

The country reported 754 new COVID-19 cases with a test positivity rate of 2.87 percent and 17 more deaths in the past 24 hours, the release said.

A total of 486,126 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals as of Tuesday.

Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 positive cases on March 23 last year.
