Indian Twitter misuses backlash of Pakistani fans towards Hassan Ali

Pakistan’s right-armed fast bowler Hassan Ali had to face a little hate from ‘some’ cricket crazies when Pakistan lost the T20 World Cup semi-final against Australia this week.

Some not-so-happy cricket fans took to Twitter and other social media platforms and bashed Ali.

Though a catch drop on the leg-side did hurt, but almost the ‘entire Pakistan backed Ali and the whole Pakistani team for putting up a great show throughout the tournament.

Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis stood unbeaten in a six-hitting feast to lead Australia into the Twenty20 World Cup final.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam also described Hasan Ali as “a fighter” who will bounce back from dropping the catch off Wade in a key moment of the semi-final, which Australia won by five wickets on Thursday.

However, ‘toxic’ Indian media and Twitter users took advantage of the situation (as usual) and twisted the entire story. They claimed that Pakistani fans were after Ali on social media, allegedly because he belonged to a specific school of thought and for the fact that he married an Indian girl.

There is not even a hint of the history, fans targeting cricketers based on sectarianism. This goes to show the nefariousness of the Indian Twitter community in trying to slander Pakistani society.
