LAHORE: Political and Economic Chief of the US Consulate in Lahore Kathleen Gibillisco called on provincial Agriculture Minister Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi and discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture.

Kathleen Gibillisco said that the US companies were keen to invest in the field of agriculture and food products.

Gardezi said that the agriculture and livestock sector have vast opportunities for the US investors, adding that agriculture reforms were yielding positive results by increasing production, as well as strengthening the national economy.

The government was providing maximum facilities to the local and foreign investors to boost the economy, he added.
