Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas announced on Tuesday that the provincial government has sent a letter to Lahore’s Aitchison College for not implementing the newly introduced Single National Curriculum.
“Letter sent to Aitchison College Lahore for NOT implementing Single National Curriculum in its entirety by Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board,” tweeted Raas along with the letter sent to the institution.

The provincial minister vowed that the provincial government will no grant any “exemptions” or let any institution “challenge the writ of the government”.
The letter shared by the minister was a response sent by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board to an inquiry by the college regarding textbooks being used in the institution.
The board informed the college of the books that have been granted a no-objection certificate (NOC) and “advised” the college to not prescribe books that have not been approved.
