National Command And Operation Centre records a positive rate of 7.54%

ISLAMABAD: Under the minor drop in stats, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) recorded a positive rate of 7.54 percent.

Pakistan’s daily coronavirus cases dropped slightly Monday morning, with about 4,040 new infections recorded in the previous 24 hours.

Despite the three-day decreasing trend in daily numbers, active cases continued to increase, reaching 83,298 cases at the most recent count.

On Monday, Karachi reported a worrisome coronavirus positive rate of 21.40 percent. Despite the high number of cases recorded in the city, the Sindh government opted to lift the nine-day lockdown in the city.

According to data from the National Command And Operation Centre (NCOC), 53 individuals died from the virus in the previous 24 hours, bringing the national death toll to 23,918.

Pakistan had recorded 95 coronavirus deaths two days before, the greatest single-day toll during the pandemic’s current fourth wave.
