Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Information, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has decided to step down from her post, sources said on Monday.

According to sources, Firdous Ashiq Awan will resign from her post to participate in the Sialkot election campaign.

The special assistant has announced this decision to give an effective response to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party leaders.

However, she now continues legal consultation with lawyers and party leaders, sources added.
