Senate election 2021: Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Asif shifted to Islamabad

Pakistan Muslim League president Shahbaz Sharif and parliamentary leader Kawaja Asif have been shifted to Islamabad to cast votes for the Senate Election 2021

Both are currently under National Accountability detention.

According to details, Shahbaz Sharif and Khawaja Asif will use their right to vote.

The Election Commission of Pakistan had finalized all arrangements for holding Senate elections today

Senate election kicks off today as polling on 37 vacant seats of Senate has begun on Wednesday (today).

As per the details, polling has begun at 9 am and will end at 5 pm without any break.

Sources said that polling will begin at the Parliament House Islamabad and the provincial assemblies of Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The lawmakers of the National Assembly have begun reaching the Parliament House to cast votes. Shafiq Arain of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was the first one to cast votes.
