Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has announced that Pakistan has decided to award scholarships to 100 students from Sri Lanka in the top medical institutes of the country.
The foreign minister has announced this move during his trip to Sri Lanka alongside Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In a tweet after his arrival in Colombia, FM Qureshi said Pakistan is standing side by side with Sri Lanka as a partner for the development of human resources, security cooperation, fighting terrorism, development and prosperity.
Earlier in the day, Qureshi held a meeting with Sri Lankan counterpart FM and discussed matters across a range of bilateral, regional and international interest.
Together we are committed to working together to strengthen our relationship and evolve new areas of collaboration and cooperation, said the Foreign Minister.

He further added that We are building Pakistan’s economy as the hub of trade and investment which will focus on the digital economy including our vibrant private sector and tapping our enormous natural & human resources.
