Singer Meesha Shafi has once again landed into hot waters as netizens are trolling her for her latest tweet.

Twitter users criticized ‘Boom Boom’ singer for apparently changing the poetry of legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

She had a few days ago written a verse from Faiz’s popular poetry. However, she altered some words.

“Troll kay lab azad hain teray ”

Meesha later deleted the Tweet.

Later on, she took to Twitter and apologized to her fans. She wrote,

“I’ve deleted my earlier tweet. @FaizAzFaiz and his legacy are far too sacred and I realize this was in bad taste.
Apologies and respect.”
