Pakistan Army announces new postings and appointments

Pakistan Army on Wednesday announced new postings and appointments of senior military officials who were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-General.

According to the ISPR,

Appointments

Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz has been appointed as Commander Lahore Corps,

Lieutenant General Muhammad Waseem Ashraf has been appointed as Commander Multan Corps,

Lieutenant General Muhammad Nadeem Ahmed Anjum has been appointed as Commander Karachi Corps,

Lieutenant General Khalid Zia has been appointed as Commander Bahawalpur Corps,

Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali has been appointed as Commander Southern Command

Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali has been appointed as Commander Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC).

Postings

Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan posted as Inspector General Arms,

Lieutenant General Syed Muhammad Adnan posted as Inspector General Training and Evaluation,

Lieutenant General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat posted as Military Secretary

Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor, Inspector General Communication & Information Technology.

Earlier Pakistan Army on Wednesday announced the promotion of several officers, six officers, from Major Generals to the Lieutenant-General rank.

ISPR said those promoted include MG Akhtar Nawaz Satti, MG Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, MG Asif Ghafoor, MG Salman Fayyaz Ghani, MG Sarfraz Ali, MG Muhammad Ali.
