Doha: The city of Doha bid an emotional farewell to the martyrs killed in the recent attack, as they were laid to rest with state honors. The Emir of Qatar attended their funeral prayers, which were held at Doha’s main grand mosque.
Top government officials, relatives of the victims, and a large number of citizens joined the funeral. Attendees prayed for the martyrs and chanted slogans against Israeli aggression, while also showing solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza.
Authorities confirmed the identities of the martyrs. They included Hamam al-Hayya, son of senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, his office manager Jihad Labad, and three bodyguards, Abdullah Abdulwahid, Momen Hassoun, and Ahmed Al-Mamlouk.
A member of Qatari security services, Saad Mohammed Al-Humaidi, was also among the martyrs and was buried wrapped in the Qatari flag. The Palestinian martyrs were buried under the Palestinian flag.
The Qatari government announced financial support and full assistance for the families of the victims.
