China has announced humanitarian aid for the victims of the recent devastating earthquake in Afghanistan.
According to news agencies, the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan released a statement confirming that aid has been dispatched to support those affected by the earthquake. The assistance is aimed at addressing the immediate needs of the victims.
The embassy further stated that relief operations and search efforts are ongoing in the quake-affected provinces of Kunar and Nangarhar, where rescue teams are working to find people trapped under the rubble.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that the death toll from the earthquake may rise further in the coming days.
It is worth noting that over 1,400 people lost their lives and more than 3,000 were injured when the powerful earthquake struck Afghanistan on Sunday night.
