KARACHI: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the results of the 12th Class Science General Group Annual Examinations 2025, News reported.

This year, the overall pass percentage stood at 55.59%, as 9,199 students out of 16,549 managed to clear the exams. The competition for top positions was very close, with all three top spots going to students of Bahria College (Karsaz).

First Position: Muhammad Haroon (Roll No. 789352) from Bahria College (Karsaz) and Maira Khan bint e Raja Khan Burdi (Roll No. 800594) from Govt. Degree Science & Commerce College (Malir Cantt) both shared the top spot with 89.81% marks.

Second Position: Muhammad Anas (Roll No. 789350) from Bahria College (Karsaz) with 89.63% marks. Third Position: Ayesha Yasin (Roll No. 800156) from Bahria College (Karsaz) with 89.27% marks.

Out of the 16,842 registered candidates, around 16,549 appeared, and 9,199 passed. Among the successful students:

• 514 got an A-1 grade
• 1,590 got an A grade
• 2,832 got a B grade
• 2,895 got a C grade
• 1,327 got a D grade
• 36 got an E grade

BIEK officials congratulated the position holders and their families, praising their hard work. Students can check their results on the board’s official website www.biek.edu.pk.

Separately, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announced the results of the CSS 2025 written exam. Out of 18,139 applicants, only 12,792 appeared, and just 354 candidates passed, making the success rate a very low 2.77% — once again highlighting the tough competition and high standards of the CSS exam.
