Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has extended heartfelt congratulations to a group of Pakistani runners following their impressive performance at a prestigious Nature Trail Run held in Seychelles, an island nation located off the eastern coast of Africa.

A Nature Trail Run is not your average race. Unlike typical road events, these races are set on rugged, natural landscapes through forests, over hills, and across uneven, often muddy terrain. Success in such a race demands not only physical strength and endurance, but mental focus and resilience as well.

Minister Tarar lauded the efforts of runners Waqar Ahmad, Umar Zaman, Muzammal Shahzad, Anam Uzair, Neelib Kiyani, and Mohsin Ijaz, calling their performance a matter of great national pride.

“By proving their abilities on a demanding and mountainous course, our athletes have sent a powerful message: Pakistan is home to talent that stands tall on the global stage,” the minister stated.

He also highlighted the exceptional performance of Anam Uzair from Lahore and Neelib Kiyani from Islamabad, commending their dedication and courage.

“Our female athletes are not just participating they’re excelling. They are raising Pakistan’s flag high in international arenas and setting a strong example for future generations,” Tarar added.

The recognition marks a proud moment for Pakistan’s sports community, especially in a discipline less commonly associated with the country. These athletes’ determination, preparation, and strong representation in a challenging international event have not only inspired pride but also elevated Pakistan’s image in the global sporting arena.
