The Workers Welfare Board Sindh has started a program to give 10,000 free electric motorbikes to women working in industries across the province.
The Sindh government says registration has already started, and eligible women can apply through the WWBS official website.
Their applications will be checked through EOBI and SESSI records as well as employer certificates, and the final selection will be made through digital balloting.
Sindh Labour Minister Shahid Abdul Salam Thahim said the program is meant to reduce pollution, make travel safer, and help women become more independent in their jobs.
The board also said that 20 percent of the bikes will be reserved for minorities. Women between 20 and 45 years of age who are employed in industries can apply.
This program shows the provincial government’s focus on providing eco-friendly transport and increasing women’s role in economic activities.
