ISLAMABAD: The government has officially established the 11th National Finance Commission (NFC) through a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
According to the notification, the Federal Finance Minister will head the commission, which will consist of nine members. The finance ministers of all four provinces are included, along with one expert from each province.
The NFC will prepare recommendations on the sharing of national revenues, division of resources, grants, loans, and expenditure for national projects.
The President formally approved the formation of the commission. The appointed provincial experts are Asad Syed from Sindh, Nasir Mahmood Khosa from Punjab, Dr. Musharraf Rasool from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Farhanullah from Balochistan.
With the issuance of the notification, the Terms of Reference (ToRs) of the NFC have also been released.
