Mumbai: A shocking video has gone viral in Mumbai, showing a man laughing as his aggressive dog attacks an 11-year-old boy, drawing widespread condemnation from social media users.

The disturbing footage, widely circulated on social media, reportedly shows an individual deliberately unleashing his American Pit Bull on the child, who was left injured in the unprovoked assault.

Throughout the horrifying incident, the dog’s owner is seen continuously laughing, making no attempt to intervene or help the terrified boy.

The video captures the boy cowering inside a parked auto-rickshaw while the Pit Bull sits nearby. The owner is seen seated in the front of the rickshaw, seemingly enjoying the spectacle. Moments later, the dog suddenly lunges at the child, biting him multiple times.

The boy eventually manages to escape the rickshaw and flee for his life, with the dog tearing at his clothes as it pursues him. All the while, the owner remains a mere spectator.

According to Indian media, the victim, identified as Hamza, recounted pleading for help, but stated that onlookers merely filmed the incident instead of offering assistance.

Following a complaint filed by Hamza’s father, police have registered a case against the dog’s owner and initiated legal proceedings. Hamza’s father stated that the owner, Sohail, intentionally set the dog on his son while the child was playing in the parked rickshaw.
