LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) has announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming Pakistan Shaheens tour of England.
The Pakistan Shaheens are set to tour England from July 17 to August 6, where they will play a series of two three-day matches and three one-day games against English domestic sides.
The tour is part of the PCB’s ongoing efforts to provide international exposure and competitive experience to emerging players. Saud Shakeel has been appointed captain of the squad.
In a notable move aimed at nurturing emerging talent, 11 players under the age of 25 have been included in the squad, reflecting the board’s focus on youth development and future national prospects.
The tour is expected to provide valuable international exposure to the next generation of Pakistani cricketers.
The squad includes: Ali Zaryab, Azan Awais, Faisal Akram, Haider Ali, Maaz Sadaqat, Mehran Mumtaz, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Salman, Mubasir Khan, Musa Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Omair Bin Yousuf, Wicketkeeper Rohail Nazir, Sajid Khan, Shahid Aziz, Shamyl Hussain, and Ubaid Shah.
Former Test cricketer Imran Farhat will serve as the Head Coach for the Pakistan Shaheens during this crucial tour of England.
