QUETTA: Railway authorities have cancelled two train services departing from Quetta due to security concerns.
According to the Pakistan Railways, the Jaffer Express bound for Peshawar and the Bolan Mail headed to Karachi—both scheduled to depart on July 10—have been suspended as a precautionary measure in light of potential security threats.
Officials said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of passengers and railway staff. No further details were provided about the nature of the threat.
Railway authorities are monitoring the situation and will announce new schedules once conditions are deemed secure. Railway officials have asked passengers to get their ticket refunds.
It should be noted that the Jaffar Express, who came to Quetta on Wednesday, was also canceled.
