Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reaffirming Pakistan’s firm and unconditional support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and security. He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to contributing actively towards lasting peace in the Middle East.
During the call, the two leaders discussed the rapidly changing regional situation, particularly in the Middle East. PM Shehbaz assured Crown Prince MBS that Pakistan fully supports de-escalation in the region and advocates for peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomacy.
Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s efforts to restore peace in the region, calling them reflective of his leadership role within the Muslim Ummah. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked PM Shehbaz for the call and appreciated Pakistan’s solidarity and consistent support. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in pushing for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing regional conflicts.
PM Shehbaz expressed deep respect and warm wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz and congratulated both the King and Crown Prince on the successful completion of this year’s Hajj. He also thanked the Kingdom for its excellent hospitality toward Pakistani pilgrims.
Pakistan open to talks with India, says PM Shehbaz:
In addition to his call with the Crown Prince, PM Shehbaz Sharif also thanked Saudi Arabia for its support during Pakistan’s recent tensions with India. He emphasized Pakistan’s readiness for meaningful dialogue with India on all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, water disputes, trade, and terrorism.
He stated that Pakistan is willing to work towards resolving long-standing issues through constructive engagement.
