KARACHI: The weather in the city will remain hot and humid on Monday, temperature is expected to reach between 37°C and 38°C.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), humidity in the air has been recorded at 69% while minimum temperature recorded today is 29°C.
Due to high humidity levels, the heat will feel more intense. The southwesterly winds are blowing at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour.
The sky will remain partly cloudy today; however, there is no chance of rain while a decrease in the intensity of heat is expected from tomorrow.
On the other hand, Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast hot weather for most parts of the country.
Hot and extremely hot conditions are expected in most districts of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in the plains.
According to the PMD, Jacobabad and Turbat recorded the highest temperature of 47°C yesterday.
Isolated locations in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to experience rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, the department added.
