KARACHI: Former Sindh Governor Barrister Kamal Azfar passed away at the age of 87 at a hospital in Karachi.
He had been unwell for an extended period. Kamal Azfar served as the Governor of Sindh from 1995 to 1997.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori expressed deep sorrow over his passing.
In a statement, President Zardari paid tribute to Kamaluddin Azfar’s political contributions, describing him as a valuable asset to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Senator Waqar Mahdi announced that Kamal Azfar’s funeral prayers will be held on Wednesday after Asar prayers at the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi.
